I've recently stopped my Google Ad campaigns because I was paying more than I was getting. I've been running my ads for several years and since this past winter, I've been unable to get them to run as they have before. I used to pay about $700 a month and get $5,000 - $10,000 of work from them. Just before I turned things off, I was paying $2,000 a month to get $500 of work from them.

Thinking that I needed to tweak my campaign, I went as far as pausing previous campaigns and starting fresh. This time I setup more campaigns that were more specific in their keyword targets (ie, apple data recovery, hard drive data recovery and RAID data recovery). But, that didn't help. So, I've decided that I'm better off just doing my own SEO and work my way up the ranks naturally.

Although the process is slow, I'm already seeing results from my efforts. We'll just have to wait and see if all my time spent on this project will pay for itself in the long run.
