![]() | Hi Why my internal PR for http://www.prologica.com.br\controle.htm = 3 (witch was 0 a few days ago and has no external backlinks) and my main PR for http://www.prologica.com.br = 2 for the whole last year and has at least 50 backlinks (from directory sites) Anyone can explain this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This can happen, it doesn't mean that your main page is weaker than your internal pages. In some cases, your main page can have a zero PR whilst your internal pages can have up to 5 PR. Take iwebtool.com for an example iwebtool.com main home page has 5 PR whilsts the PageRank Prediction tool or the Computer Glossary has a PR6.

![]() | OK, but PR don't determine the position for a search in Google? Let's say both of my site have the words ACCESS CONTROL. The one with PR=3 woldn't be listed first? My doubt is, I'm trying hard to increase my PR for http://www.prologica.com.br (getting listed at directory sites) but aparently what I'm doing is not working. I would like to understand why my internal PR=3 is higher than the main homepage, so I can focus in pratices that can increase my main pagerank for sure. Regards Ion |

![]() | It's been seen occuring to thousands of websites everyday and is not a matter of concern. You can have possibly better PR in the next update. Don't worry ![]() ____________ Banner Design |

![]() ![]() | I have noticed this on my site.. strangely enough the index has a pr 3 and my admin page (which i dont think anyone would be linking to) has PR 5. Hopefully this is an indication of higher PR all round in the future. I also have a subdomain that went live 2 weeks before the PR update, and it went straight to 5.

![]() | Guys I have noticed this as well. I have several hundred sites. Many have the same issue. I have started to figure it out. Try this.... make sure you have externel, outgoing links on your home page to official sites. Gov or ref websites. It seems to help. If you look at the higher pages inside your web you will realize that most have good external links. Strange glitch.

![]() | PR on the page is a direct reflection of the competetive of what the page is trying to rank for. If you have one page, lets say it is the index page and it is set up for the word "diet" you would need several thousand links to get a pr3 or 4. then you have an internal page that has your URL or company name in the title. this is NON -competetive and therefore your PR woul soar for this phrase because no one is searching for it, and therefore no large quantities of sites competing for it! Here is an example! Do a search for "houston Texas Real Estate" and do a BL check and the top sites will have between 2 to 4000 links for a PR4. Then go and do a search for "waco texas real estate" and the top sites are PR4 sites with 2 to 500 links. Same PR, yet completely different amount of links needed to get to PR4. You can also do a search for the word "diet" and you will need several thousand to get a PR4. Then as you search these terms check to see how many sites are competing for these terms. The results will say "results 1-10 of 2,495,936 ect. This is how you find out how competetive a keyword or phrase really is! |

If your building more backlinks to your internal pages, this can happen.
