 |  Best methods of advertising I am starting a brand new forum, one that is looking to discuss the political issue from each country I am now willing to pay for a little advertising. What would you do to advertise, and in turn get members? |

| Re: Best methods of advertising The best method is to first write some posts and get some friends or family also writing some posts for you so that your forum doesn't look dead. I have seen that paying for advertising a forum is a waste of time if you have no posts or it looks dead as less people are likely to signup to a forum that is empty. It's the same as a nightclub. If there is a dead nightclub and then next door there is a crowded one that looks fun to be in, I know which club I would choose.

| Re: Best methods of advertising The way to advertise is through forums that discuss political issue. Forum is not a waste of time but include topics that will attract the attention of the users. Try using the social media site like Myspace or online groups and promote your site. Or create a blogs that is related to your site. |

| Re: Best methods of advertising For this sort of niche, I think Social Bookmark websites, Squidoo and others Web 2 are best ways to draw attention of interested customers. Blogging is also the best way. Forums can work too.
