Drive good one-way links to your blog with carnivals

Blog Carnivals are basically a collection of similar blog entries, that others often link to. They are one of the best ways to get non-reciprocal, inbounding links. You can also make a name for yourself within particular niches.

You submit some of your best articles to relevant carnivals, and get plenty of good links, however, don’t spam them with irrelevant entries.

All you need to do is basically:
1. Register with blogcarnival.com
2. Write an “excellent” article
3. Find a carnival relevant to the entry
4. Submit it (A link to your site's article, not the actual article itself.)
5. Wait for many one-way links to come in

With carnivals, you don't have to write content for other people's sites (such as with ezines) and it also generates *targeted traffic*, very important for any website or weblog.

Also keep in mind that some carnivals aren't always active and you probably won't get the links you want *right away*, as they have dates when the carnivals are held.
