How often does google update its pagerank?

every 4 months , but seeing the last update .. we cant determinate the periode between 2 updates

In general, google updates the page rank every quarterly but this time it has been the longest in 2 years.

keeping in mind that the quarteryly/periodic thing is NOT an update it is an export to the toolbar. People just refer to it as an update as the toolbar is updated using (out of date by a couple of months) PR.

Google update Pr using everflux, a system wherby as pages are added to the index, their value impacts across the PR values related to it exponentially.

So what I am saying I guess is that if you are looking forward to a PR u[pdate so you get some PR and your rankings improve, then you will be VERY disappointed. Your PR is already being factored into the ranking algo as is ALL your link benefit from known links.

THis is one of the most important thing I've learnt from my time on iwebtools... the fact that a PR isn't shown against your URL doesn't mean that Google haven't ranked you. As OWG says, the rank that G uses is constantly updated. It's just that they don't put the rank infor into the public domain, except for a 4-times-a year (approx) snapshot. The fact that your PR won't change when they publish it is very important to remember!

I read in many forum, Google updates PR generally in every three months.

It certainly is getting shorter and shorter and is now per website, it means sometimes certain websites report a boost while others might not see anything.

It updates often, but exports rarely.

waiting for pagerank update could be stressing for webmasters. we all know that pr updates every three to four months but the last pr update should be september but nothings happened.
