Google backlinks

I'm using SeoQuake and it shows my site with 0 Google back links.

If I go to Google any type in site:http://www.tracsoft.com I get no results.

However when I go to Google Webmaster Tools and look at my Links page, I have almost 300.

I think I read somewhere that back links with a page rank of under 4 don't show up but there are at least a couple on the Links page that have a 4 or higher page rank.

Can anyone explain this to me?

PR4 links showing went out about 3-4 years ago.

Google now show 'a selection' of links no more, no less. Webmaster tools shows you pretty much most if not all.

Aira, ALL backlink checkers use the same source for checking google backlinks, so they are ALL wrong

If you have an account at webmaster tools, claim the site, then google will give you more info. Don't waste your time with other backlink checkers for Google.

you can search your links through webmaster tool. if you have goolge site map .login to that account then you will find your BL.

Is it more accurate to use google webmaster tools or type in link: www.yourname.com into google?

I am using webmaster tools and am just confused at the discrepancies. It shows almost 300 backlinks.

For the Music site I'm involved in there are about 4000+ backlinks from external sites, Google lists 5

Don't worry if you see or Google don't display backlinks... It is their style of displaying backlinks... Actually they display links only in samples...

Wait for the next backlink updates...

Also you could look at typing the following into Google:

link:yourdomain.com

Hope that works, but it's not entirely accurate using this method.

Google has always shown only a sample of the links coming into your site. These links are updated in the search results every 3 - 6 weeks. Even though google only shows a small sample, this does not mean that google doesn't count the other backlinks when displaying search results. Google updates its search result pages for standard searches continuously, and these search results take into account all links that google has found.

Even you don't see any backlinks , it doesn't mean you have no links at all...

I use iwebtool's back link checker, It tells me I have 295 back links, when I check for goggle page rank prediction it shows I have no backlinks so it wont predict my future page rank and the accuracy rate. So I was bit baffled too.

Google will not show all of the backlinks of a certain site. It displays only the links that Google thinks are "quality".. To better understand why Google doesn't show all the backlinks, better read THIS

It is recommended to use Google for checking the backlinks, and the webmasters tool offers complete data.
