No, I haven't. What did you do to gain traffic from ad sites?

Craigslist is great for launching new sites. SE's will index you within a few hours normally.

But the traffic I've received has been minimal. But then again the posts were for collectible toys.

Do you just list your site on their site or do you try to sell something from your e commerce site? Please share . . .

Its very easy to market on CL and get close to 700 hits per day...

A lot of promoting on CL is in the FOR SALE section....

Ipods For Sake Cheap
Must Sell need $$ For Books
<a href="htt://www.mysite.com">Visit here for more info</a>

Make sure your using the HTML feature CL still allows it... so your site name is spammed all over the forums.

TIP- Post 3-4 ads an hour in 3-4 different cities... do that 3 times a day and you should be getting a nice load of traffic.

My store sells artwork and gifts so I list some of our paintings under the local artists section. We get a little traffic this way but not a whole lot, maybe 5 unique visits per day at most.

I have been using Craigslist and other free ads in promoting our site.Craiglist is too strict in the post of classified ads, if they see a duplicate content, they deleted it. In terms of traffic , they are one of the best classified ads that give traffic for a site.

Its not Craiglist staff that removes your post. 99% of the time
Its the users that report it when they run across it. After a x amount of reports its automatically removed
