![]() | Hi there You are totally missing the point of owning your website, you set up this website to get people to visit your site, you didnt set up ur site to get the highest pr rating you can did you ? so why buy high ranking links to get your site ranking higher ? it wont guarentee you a higher placing on the search engines ! If you are going to buy some links into your site, forget about pr its just a number ! buy some links that will bring you some visitors to your site and the more relavant these visitors are the better ! If your site starts doing well your pr will rise naturally, as people post links to ur site refering others to ur website ! Woc |

| Member | Typical case of another PR gone crazy person, as long as people visit and love your website to one day return why worry about what one slightly over enlarged powerful company say? I would never pay for backlinks ever i submit to web directorys that offer free listings after all it takes time & effort to develop your site/domain, take your time do it properly! > A list of free pagerank directorys to help you on your way http://cbarker.ws/pagerank-listings/

PR says nothing of quality. In fact, I have had several low quality thrown together sites have PR5, while site that are useful to the users and well thought out have only experienced PR3. The PR has absolutly nothing to do with the quality of a site. Many PR0 sites out traffic many PR7 sites.....Why, because Google(which is a computer program by the way) assigns PR based on number of backlinks, and never ever looks at the quality of the site.

![]() ![]() | Absolutely agree jumpen. The basic Google algorithm is supposed to measure the "importance" of the site. In it's simplest form Google counts the number of inbound links, subtracts the number of outbound links, and allocates PR based on the difference. This really says nothing about the real quality or content of the site. BTW Google is trying to build in to it's algorithm a method to discount bought links. Don't get too hung up on PR, this wil come through time.

Yeah me too, I don't know how they are going to do that, or even if they can do it, interseting to see if it can be achieved. To me it seems like an enormous task, a link is still a link whether paid for or not, it doesn't carry a tag "I'm paid for". I think that Google may be trying to discount links that are not organic.

![]() | Purchasing high PR links would definitely make your site gain PR, and not necessarily the targeted traffic I have seen many sites which have very high PR but very poor targeted traffic base. In my opinion PR is only important if you are willing to sell text link from your website. Otherwise just invest your money from where you expect good traffic PR is nothing but importance of the website across the internet as decided by google, which on most occasions, in my opinion, is incorrect.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Jumpen it seems they don't kidding. This link will direct you to a quite interesting and sad thread at UKWW about the present of pay directories. I think this process is the reason why the PR export is late.

Very true. You should concentrate more on the entry points that most don't think about. The most important would be your subpages. Name them correctly and have them geared towards specific sub-topics of your domain. I have one website that gets 2000 hits a month. However, one of its sub-pages gets 4500 hits a month.

![]() | Most SEO says that page rank is not important in evaluating a link to a site. But for me , it is one of the most important factors in choosing reciprocal link or one way link to a site. The most important is to buy link that is related to your site and with quality content. Quote:
