The site looks nice.

I wasn't sure what the site was for at first. I thought flights then I thought shopping so it took me a bit to figure it out.

I saw where it said "one of the largest flight databases and shopping portals" under one of your Logos but at first an add was blocking that second logo.

I think "one of the largest flight databases and shopping portals" needs to be bigger and under the first logo.

Can you tell us more what the shopping area is going to be like?

The shop section should be quite good. I've put in fields for a taglist, country, worldwide shops, delivery options and a discount code database that is linked to the shops. I've contacted the WebTV people and they will also let me put some of their shopping tv shows on it for people to watch (like on the travel section).

In regard to voucher discount codes, I've been trying to get some exclusive codes just for users of the site. I've managed to get quite a few but it takes time talking to the companies involved.

Like the Flights section I won't just be listing shops that pay (I've tried to list all flight companies - including those that do not run affiliate systems). The system should be completely impartial.

I'm not a big fan of the bright yellow background either. Maybe a lighter yellow perhaps?

Your google rank is gonna soar with the rich content you've included into your site.

Thanks, I'll see what I can do about the yellow (originally the site was just holidays/flights - so I wanted it "warm").

I'll experiment with with a slightly lighter yellow when I take a look at putting in marylc's suggestion about some kind of subtitle below the "Cut the Costa".

Hopefully. Once the shopping bit is complete it should be much better.

The sitemap is generated for google live as its requested. It only has the main parts of the site, news articles and high level details of the flights, the actual final flight details bits are not in there (there is a huge amount of combinations). I may do a manual/generated sitemap that is more graphical than the one generated for google for "people" to see, a graphical "chart" like sitemap may be better for people to read who are not really used to the internet. What do you reckon?

I've put in a system where it's easy to translate to other languages. Basically each main sentence that is displayed by the website are strings that are in a database (also cached), when they are displayed they are looked up in a table in the selected language - if not found then the default original English string is used.

The hope is that eventually (when the site makes enough money, it's self funding) to get a translator to convert each of the main strings.
Chinese may be a problem for formatting though. Not too sure?
