![]() | Till yesterday, i did had a decent SERP in Google, but today morning all of the sites disappeared from the top places. No where in the the top 20. Even the blog results disappeared overnight. What could be the reason? My site is http://www.onlinedownloads.org |

![]() ![]() | Forget rankings, has your traffic gone? The reason I am saying this is because when you search google you are searching any one of hundreds of datacentres. It is possible not to appear on one of them but still be appearing on all the others. TRAFFIC/Conversions is the thing to watch, rankings are the wrong metric.

![]() | Jenny, this might be temporary Monitor it for a couple of days Two of my keywords is in the top 100 from 6.5 billion websites for that single digit keyword search. When I checked again on a different day there were about 5.8 billion websites, but my keywords stayed in the top 100 Remember the search engine landscape are changing daily. Sites moves up and down all the time. Sometimes websites drop out of the rankings. My advice to you is keep on writing quality content and keep on working on your backlinks. ![]() |

![]() | No it is not banned. Due to drop in rankings, even there is no traffic from GOOGLE. just a couple of visits for meaningless keyword searches. |

So what you are saying then Jenny is that you lost your rankings AND you traffic? (assuming you actually had traffic previously). If this is the case, then it means it is not an isolated datacentre thing and it has propagated across all the datacentres. This indicates it is an algorithmic filter of some sort, or possibly an affect of an algo change. When did it happen EXACTLY to the day?

![]() | Hi there I have had this happen a number of times, its very annoying and I never really found out an explanation as to why it happened after analysing my site. I dropped from page 2 for keywords down to page 10, which was quite alarming lol !!! I think its somthing that happens to everyone at some point, during ur google experiance. How did i resolve this you may ask, well i kept on working on the site in the usual ways addings content and getting links and it slowly came back. So i dont think you should panic just yet, if you can try to figure out any changed you made, you might be able to figure out why this has happened. Woc |

![]() ![]() | I could give you a myriad opf explanations from experience, I just don't want to specualte as that can cause confusion. There is ALWAYS a reason for drops, it could be heavy load on your server causing the spiders to back off continuously and pages being removed. it could be that one of your main authority links has gone AWOL from the index having a knock on effect. It could be that a shedload of your site has been moved into the supplemental index, it could be LOTS of things ![]()

![]() | Does the web hosting has any role in this? Say if the google crawls the site when the sever was down for maintenance reasons, will it cause this sort of adverse effect? That was the issue when Google Webmaster tool reported that the site has been crawled on Aug8. But today when i checked out the same, the last crawled date was on Aug13. Interestingly from Aug13th onwards, I'm facing this problem. Last week may be on Aug6th or so ... i've changed the images in my site to noadware-free-anti-spyware-download-graphic.jpg from noadware.jpg Is this anything to do with the fall of SERP? Except this change i've nothing added or deleted. Please help me in this regard. Thanx in advance. |

![]() ![]() | OK! The answer to your question is 'maybe' If google can not spider your site, or if it appears you are trying to hide something, if your site is not well know and has a long history of doing the right thing (to increase your trust factor), then chances are you will get thrown out of the index! Tell me more about this free adware programme you have added, if it is preventing Google from indexing part or all of a page then damn right the Google algo will get a little pissed at you as it feels a man with one hand behind his back MUST be hiding something. I am off to my bed now as it is late for me, I have had too many late nights this week. I will check back tomorrow though. OWG

![]() ![]() | As far as I understand, noadaware sits on your desktop and stops adverts coming up on websites, is that right? This is whay I was asking for clarification about the product ![]() This is what threw me Quote:
My reason is that You say that noadaware is NOTHING to do with Google, and again I am not sure what you are saying here. Google has a spider, if you have something on your site that is slowwing/preventing the spider doing its job, then it IS 'to do ' with google. I would say that WELL over 50% of the problems I find on sites that are harmng SEO in cases like this are down to spidering problems. A classic example is where a script is choking the spider. The spider chokes, thinks the server is under heavy load, so backs out of the site. CLASSIC example there.
