![]() | Please can anyone help I have a couple of simple SEO questions: My site has a number of links from various web directorys, pagerank 3,4,5 they seem to have worked, my first question is: 1. Should I use the same directorys with different keywords i want to promote? or should i find new directorys? I am listed on the Iwebtool directory under one target keyword, basically would it be wise to list again under a new target keyword? (does that make sense) 2. I have seen a number of link bidding sites (bidup) where you can be listed for just a dollar, but the google page rank is 0 . Do these sites hold any value Many Thanks |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Domain authority suppose to be more important nowadays which can be improved by relevant backlinks from different domains. If i were you i would try to diversify the links as much as it is possible. The diversified anchor texts, seem to be more natural, and always help me to strengthen the rankings so far. Answering your second question is more difficoult for me. Many of the link bid scripts are the creation of the last few months, and it's absolutly not sure that they PR will be exported during the forthcoming update to the toolbars. I have no experience how google handles those sites in the light of relevancy. If you want to buy link for PageRank i suggest you to visit backlinkwatch.com or Yahoo! Site Explorer in order to esteem the potential PR flow.

![]() | Why ever not ??? you shouldnt go on a links pr for you to judge its quality, you could potentially link to a site with a pr of 0 and it send you hundreds of visitors your way, if these visitors are relevant then that is better than any page ranked link !!! So to answer your question if its worth linking to a site with a rank of 0, well it depends on the above ! Surely vistors is what its all about !!!!! Woc |

![]() ![]() | Then you are missing some great links. Do you know something, this is WELL KNOWN, but not realised by most people online. ALL WEBSITES start with a google toolbar of PR ZERO ![]() Todays PR0 is tomorrows pr4,5,6,7, who knows. Build for TRAFFIC, and let PR take care of itself.

![]() ![]() ![]() | <<Build for TRAFFIC, and let PR take care of itself.>> Good point OWG - in the end it's the traffic that counts; PR is just a side-effect.

![]() | In fact before you throw away those potential high PR site, you can actually test these PR0 sites on some PR prediction tools. This would determine your whether your $1 is well spent. |

![]() ![]() | I don't use PR predictors because I don't try to build up PR. My linking strategies are based on what is best for the site in question. UNLESS you are trying to get as high a PR as possible so that you can prostitute it with link sales, then forget about PR as the main metric. I build links from on topic pages regardless of the PR. I have some very high ranking websites that have PR3/4 http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...e+Search&meta= for example my own site is PR4 and ranks top 5 for internet marketing consultancy.
