Default Question about your google searching

If you can spare a minute could you answer the below question.

We are looking at targetting a new keyword that has over 35,000 searches per month according to overture.

The thing is, when you type that keyword it comes up with the "Did you mean: xxxxxxxx giving the searcher the option to divert away from the keyword.

So, our question is.... When you type something into a search on Google and it pops up the Did you mean box, do you click on the did you mean, or just continue looking under what you orginally searched for.

appreciate feedback

Thanks

Default Re: Question about your google searching

Usually I check two or three pages of search before I use the back button to the first search page and click the "Did you mean: ......" link.

That is if the search is obviously wrong. If there's two different spelling methods for the words I check both searches equally.

Same with VPM, I do click on the "did you mean ....", unless the suggested word/phrase is wrong.

IMHO, the suggested key phrase (by Google) is a much better choice, putting competition and number of searches aside.

I usually do both... even if it's obviously a typo on my part you can sometimes get interesting (if more obscure) results from the misspelt word before looking at the 'proper' google-recognised term.
