What is considered to be good stats?

Does anyone know what is considered to be:

- good time spent on a site?
- a good bounce rate?
-with pay per click advertising, what is a good CTR?

I'm just trying to understand some stats that i have for my site (from 24th July to date)
It is telling the following:
- average time spent on site 4.5min
- bounce rate 27%
-CTR 3.5%

Hope to hear back from anyone who knows!

For me, an average time for 4.5 min is pretty good! Most sites I run receive below that.. and as for your CTR rate, it's not too high but pretty decent imo.

Bounce rate for the pages of site means how many visitors came to my site and then left immediately without going to any other page.

CTR :
This is the ratio of the number of times and ad is clicked divided by the number of times an ad is viewed. Higher CTR means more traffic on your website and so the sales will also increase.

Well, no fixed rules and might differ from website to website, for websites running ads even 5 seconds stay but with a single click on the ads might be better than 10 minutes visits with no clicks.

It all depends on your niche and your targets. If you had a simple page with an embedded 2 hour film on it visitors will obviously stay for longer compared to some page with quick info or a landing page.

To go into detail, you actually need to identify your optimum page of your site that scores and it may not necessary have to be your main page.

Here here, 4.5 mins is good and a long time to keep somebodies attention.

The average time is somewhat skewed by the short periods of time search engine bots spend on your site. I'd look at conversion, bookmark rate, # visits per visitor (return visits), conversion rates, etc.

4.5 minutes would seem a very good time. You can get figures for amount of time from compete.com
