![]() | Hi everyone, I was wondering what you guys think about customer service. How important is it? Would you rather pay $1 a month for a host with bad customer service or $10 a month for a host with great customer service (assuming that the rest of there specifications are identical)? How quickly do webmasters want to be answered? 2 days? 24 hours? less?? What is acceptable, and what would be very unacceptable? Technical support vs. Account support What is more important for you - quick technical support or quick account (budget, billing, username+password) support? Male vs. Female It's a weird question - I now, but would you rather receive technical support from a male or from a female? What about account support? What would be better - a male voice or a female voice? Thanks, EDCpartners |

![]() | How important is it? It all depends on the client's skills, for a support-dependent customer it's better to go for a 10-dollar plan with more support allotted to him. How quickly do webmasters want to be answered? I know I tend to be impatient, but here it's a matter of urgency, so I'd say from 20 min for an urgent issue to 3 hours for something less important. Technical support vs. Account support These are two completely different thing, and it's company who's more interested in prtoviding proper account support to clients. Male vs. Female No preference, all I need is competence. |

![]() | It would be great if a powerful wb hosting creates different customer support sections, for example, people needing technical assistance emails should be answered in a few hours while general questions might not need an immediate answer. |

| Wish you were here! | EDC Partners, How about a Hot-Line. Most hosting providers don't even have a live chat service. I understand the frustration. Regards, Edmund Ng |

![]() ![]() | I'd probably go with the 10 dollar plan, why? Simply because you won't encounter as much downtimes, fast servers, probably (24x7) staff available. Meti

![]() | I'm lucky, all my tickets are answered within 3-4 hours time limit. My I'm talking about tickets being answered, not issues being resolved, as you can get the response to your email within a second, but the issue won't be fixed in a few day's time. The key point here is to find a company where you are not treated as just one more person on the reporting document. |

You are lucky to have such a host, though I can't say I dislike somethin about my present host webhostingbuzz.com with shell access and ftp accounts that they provide. | |
