If you want to see a google mearth api in use have alook at this site. http://castles.wales.info/Castles_tour.asp it is a fly by of the CADW castles in wales, but has layers of photgraphs, places of interest, hotels etc, all with links to their websites etc.

This is one of my sites so I thought I would point that out. You will need google earth for this though. When you get to the page above, click on the 'start your tour' link

To us AND Google.
a Google APi, is an programmers aid, so you can use it to write scripts (like the pr predictor etc) that are allowed access into the google data via the use of an API (You need an API key). Displaying google maps on a site for example requires an API key.

I have to go look...lazy this morning, but didn't Google stop giving the key for PR/data searches?

I thought they had a toolbar API and that you could grab data from there. I am nto sure though as I don't do the coding I just pay for it and/or arrange it

They did stop issuing the API Key but they do issue Ajax Api Keys now but they do not work with as many things my friend has an original Google API key & i gotta admit im jealous i want one to :sad:
