If you want to get indexed quickly then get a handfull of links on recently spidered and regularly spidered pages.

It will not be INDEXED in a few hours, it might get spidered, but that is not the same thing. Spiders spider, then the data is processed, then it gets indexed or discarded (Google spiders a lot more pages than it indexes)

The best is to post a review on blogger blog, or if you are lucky and have a site with a high PR, make a link to your new site, normally your site will be indexed within a week.
It also helps to post on forums with a nice PR and some activity, why not ask for a site review.
I use a combination of this sytems with every new site I start.

I posted our new site (below) on July 12, made improvements daily, and most pages were indexed by Google and Yahoo on July 21. July 29 it was recorded on Google analytics, Aug 2nd had a sitemap verified.

On Aug 4th four of the pages were on page one for their search terms,
e.g Spring weather scotland, the site was listed at number four on page one.
Not the biggest search terms in the world, but very important for the audience I want.

We've had 150 visitors so far, mostly from my mother who does not understand the internet, and from our children, whose inheritance will be stopped unless they give it the praise it is due. They keep looking at it to find something nice to say.

Beginners luck. No submissions.

John
ps On the index page the properties shown are linked only to their e-mail addresses, not to their web sites. We will give each a write up in the blog site and we will link to their sites from there. That way we each get one way links.
Somebody here told me this was stupid. Me and stupid, we go together.

pps. Yesterday I put up 30 inbound links from flickr to the photographs on each page, thanking the photographers for their use. Some of the photos were mine!

Getting indexed take no time especially if you have enough links out there. Especially by google, can't say for sure on othersearch engines. If you have enough good links out there a site can start being index within hours.

But why you need to get indexed fast? What's the use of it? From my perspective unique and rich content is the primary thing for any Quality Web Site. Don't you think so? IMOH Backlinks will come finding you. That doesn't mean you don't put any effort to collect backlinks, but why to chase after fast indexing.
