Google "I'm Feeling Lucky"

As anyone who has used the Google "I'm Feeling Lucky" button knows, the results are always biased!

For example, if I type in Porsche and hit I'm feeling lucky, it is guaran-darn-teed that i will be taken to www.porsche.com!

The result is never really randomly picked, I think this feature would be much more interesting if it truly did bring up a random site based on the keyword that was entered.

Any opinions?

Nope, if your feeling lucky it should give you the site your looking for

Last year , there was a nice joke from google.com

when u type in the search box the word "Failure" and hit the feeling lucky button
it will redirect you to the white house website , exactly the page/profile of presedent Bush

i dunno if any of u guys noticed this

and way they've changes it now it redirect to Wikipedia

Now you you search for Failure in I'm Feeling Lucky, it links to the BBC reporting on it linking to George Bush Failing!

Funny, but whenever I Google I momentarily hover over the IFL button before hitting Search - I guess I don't beleive in Luck enough and always think I'll just be wasting a click! Maybe I should try it more.

OK, I tried it.

I'M FEELING LUCKY....

In Google.com -
"Google Trends" - right first time (lucky)
"Mars Guitars" - Ahh - a page I know well and hate <<Mars Music's bankruptcy...>> (unlucky)

In Google.co.uk with Pages from the UK selected -
"Mars Guitars" - Hurrah, it's me!! (very lucky)

Doesn't it just pick the one from the top of the list in a regular search??

Usually it's the number one webpage appearing in ordinary searches which you are redirected to I think.
