Flex Fuel Users (E-85 Ethanol Blend)

Not related to websites at all but does anyone out there use E-85 flex fuel yet?

Do you get decent gas milage using it??

I read an article in time magazine detailing several businesses that were putting millions into building E-85 refineries. The waste product was being used to feed cattle as well!

When my budding uses it he gets about 5 less miles a gallon on highway and about 10 less in town.

Less is right. Alcohol has a lower ability to vaporize than does gasoline. Not to mention that alcohol burns cooler....Ah, hogwash...The best thing that you could ever do do improve your fuel economy is to add 3 oz. of 100% Acetone to every 10 gallons of gasoline. Acetone reduces the surface tension of gasoline so that it vaporizes a bit better than it does in it's natural state. Alcohol has a much higer surface tension than does gasoline, therefore, alcohol burns less efficiently than does gasoline....not to mention that alcohol costs .40 per gallon to create, whereas gasoline costs almost 5 times as much, yet they still charge the same money for both.

I might give the 100% acetone additive a try for a while. I average about 50 miles a day so that would make a big difference over a couple of months.

Might even pay for my starbucks addiction!

We need to make ethanol out of hemp. 10 times more bang for your crop then corn, does not have to be rotated, and you can get up to 4 harvests a year.
