Which is the country left you with a BAD experience?

For myself, it was China. The thing that really irks me was its poor hygiene. Its scenery is fantastic though. I remember once when I visited HuangShan and an old historical street called Lao Ren Jie, the floor greeted me loads of SPITS. Gosh, I was basically watching my steps all the time and it was a really bad experience. I also remember seeing the locals spit right in front of me! It was plain disgusting. Especially when I am a clean-freak.

Pet hate has to be France, they seem to hate anybody that visits

Tunisia for me. My wife NEVER left mys side as the local appeared very intimidating.

i think that's just an exception, most of the chinese places are clean and the local govenment have taken lots of efficient measures to avoid this phenomenonm and i suggest you can go to The Three Gorges Project to have a look ,it's really wonderful
