Default Question about PR predictor

First let me say - I love iwebtool! Great service you provide here...

Anyway, I have a site that's roughly 3 months old, and last month I started checking future PR because my links were steadily building up...I saw it go from 3 to 4 over the course of a month or so..so all was well.

The problem started about 2 weeks ago, when I went to do a routine check, it said "insufficient backlinks blah blah blah....so I did it a couple more times, and still, the same result.

I waited a few days, checked - nothing. Rinsed and repeated, and still nothing.

Is it just me? Or is something else going on? I'm kind of concerned at this point, because I'm really looking forward to the next update, and iwebtool is the most reputable calculator out there.

Why all of the sudden would this happen? Please ease my mind!!

Thanks,

Ryan Shamus

This is normal phenomenon ,during PR and database update.
There is official pagerank thread already in this forum, please have a look at that.

Okay...thanks.

Can you please point me in the right direction of this "official" PR thread? If you're suggesting the question was already answered in it, then I apologize, but I obviously don't see it!

A link would be fine.

Thanks again for your time.

Hi there,

Yes you probably do have too little backlinks to provide a predicted PR, but don't worry you can have good PR with little links, if you got 1 backlink from a PR10 website you would probably have an automatic PR of 5 or something.

Don't worry...your site is still really young.

I was done with this thread, as you can see two posts up...everything is working again!

But I guess I'll explain again what happened:

I actually had a prediction more than a month ago...as I have nearly 1000 backlinks...the predictor tool was showing a PR4....it then stopped working for a while (I know it was a false reading because I had more than enough backlinks for a PR prediction.) Anyway, like I just stated yesterday, it all of the sudden works again. I can't explain it, I guess it's the tool itself.

So while I agree that my site is still young, I've had well over 100 backlinks for quite a while now. I just thought the predictor tool was out of order for a couple days or something.

Again, everything is fine now, and I'm happy

Hi there,

OK sorry, I just thought I would tell you some other common reasons. I'll close the thread then.
