![]() | Hi, How long does it take for incoming links to my site appear in Google backward links database? Can anyone who launched new sites recently confirm if they have the same problem as me? My http://www.howtowakeupearly.com is 1.5 months old and it started showing up in Google search results after about 10 days from launch. It's showing up now so it is not banned. Google Webmaster Tool reports that googlebot crawls it every 3-4 days and there is no errors. Still, trying to search for "link:http://www.howtowakeupearly.com" I get ZERO backward links. I'm sure that for this same reason any attempt to use any page rank predicting tools fails - they all seem to query google. Does it mean that new page rank update if it happens now will skip my site? If you simply search for "http://www.howtowakeupearly.com" you will find a number of links to it, some are month old. And BTW, Yahoo finds 300+ inlinks (to search with Yahoo, use linkdomain:http://www.yourdomain.com). Am I missing something?

![]() ![]() | Dont concern yourself too much about this just yet. Firstly Google will be "learning" the backlinks to your site, but will not publish any if it sees any less than about 40, even then it will not displaythem all. Next the dada centres will be learning about these links, but will not publish these until the next Backlinks update (which I estimate will happen in the next 2 - 4 weeks, the last backlink update happened in April). Sit tight until the next back link update, and keep building the links.

![]() ![]() | Check your nacklinks in Yahoo, then go to the page, check if google has a chache of it. If there IS a cache, then you are getting link benefit, if not, then you are not. BUT you are WASTING YOUR TIME! Google disabled the link: operator a long time ago now, and they simply show 'A Selection' of backlinks.
