- Submit, submit, and submit to as many directories and search engines as you can. More backlinks to your site, more Google PR is expected. Also try to do some link exchanges.

- Try to write descriptions to every category than Google may assign higher rank to the pages 2-3 levels deep. Not only home/index page but also other pages should have PG greater than 0.
- Use sub-domains to organize site's categories. Sub-domains can be seen as separate websites. So in effect all sub-domains linking back to home page create a mass of inbound links! Currently, Google seems to rank a lot of sites highly that have a large structure incorporating sub-domains.

Submitting to search engines does absolutely nothing for PR. Only incoming links matter, period.

On page optimising has ABSOLUTELY no affect on page rank (other than the navigation)

Yes i agree with Nima. To get a higher ranking in search engine is to built a better seo like title description keyword that are matching with your site contents. I'll just try it and find it work to me even my site dont have a higher page rank.

Read this carefully and follow the steps.

1. Create Content.
2. Make Content Sticky.
3. Create Article Directories.
4. Use Website Translation Toolbar to increase content 10 times!
5. Article Marketing - Get Backlinks
6. Forum Marketing - Get Backlinks
7. Linik Exchange - Get Backlinks (with Anchor Text)
8. Posting on Blogs - Get Backlinks.

The way Google sees it the more backlinks the better. In SEO, 30% is onsite optimization and 70% is offsite optimization.

WHOOOOA Edmund, what you are suggesting can get a site banned (I have seen it happen)!

using Google toolbar translators will first off (if you get traffic) get your IP banned from using the toolbar translator (Again I have seen this happen), NEXT if you persist on sending AUTOMATED QUERIES to google, they will block your domain!

As EVERYONE knows, auto querying google is against their terms and conditions! I thought you being the expert you claim to be would be aware of that, and would not be promoting black/grey hat methods!

Old Welsh, on our lochside site, I've put up a Spanish, French, Italian and German flag to link to google translation. No one seems to use it much, but is this what you are querying?

If you are using the script that you install and then it autotranslates using the google toolbar translation tool then yep it is technically against the T&C of Google.

I am NOT saying don't do it, But you can get the same sort of script for Yahoo1 translate, so why take the chance
