Default Help Google has hijacked my browser

Hi everyone,

I am hoping that someone can help me with a browser situation. I use Crazybrowser that works with IE7 and when I type an address into the browser starting today, like address.com I am directed to a google search page. When I type in www.address.com it takes me to the site. I did recently download the google toolbar but after deleting it the problem persists. This may seem a little trivial but to me it is a huge annoyance and makes me feel like google has hijacked my browser. The same thing happens with IE7 but not with Foxfire.

Thanks for any help.

Could you take a screenshot? Are you sure it's the address bar, not an extended google search bar?

Yes I am positive. I have been on the internet for many many years own 90+ domains and am embarrassed that i can't figure out what has happened. Again if i put www. in front of the name it goes to the domain just fine. It only happens if I type address.com and it goes directly to a google search page at google.com. and it started just today, i am reasonable sure it was caused by the google toolbar.

Again thanks

Okay I made screen shots and placed them at http://www.siphers.com/piracy_files

If you look at the pictures in order 1,3,5,7 then you will see what happens if i type in iwebtool.com vs www.iwebtool.com.

Any Ideas?

It's just jumping to your default search option, try typing http://iwebtool.com and see what happens, it should take you to http://www.iwebtool.com
