Site Map advantages

Hello,

i just wonder, does having a Site Map increase page rank ? If not what other advantages does a site map have ?

There are two different kind of sitemaps. One of them is the xml which can improve the visibility of your site in the google index. It can be important if you don't have thoudands of backlinks.
The other one is the sitemap page which does improve the PageRank flow and make navigation easier for your visitors.

Sitemaps usually help index your site better because they give Google ALL your links for them to crawl through. There are some tools around to generate it for your site, so make good use of it.
