Default Removing *My* Hits

On occasion (Ok, daily), I like to check my site’s stats and see how many visitors I’m getting. But whenever I make a page impression of my site myself (For example I like to see its layout in different browsers, where things are, etc.) it counts my own hit on its tally. So is there any way I can remove my own recordings from the tracker, or remove my computer’s IP from it, etc.

Is there specific code to enter in Google webmaster central, etc.?

Also, the service I use to check my statistics is Google’s Adsense Reports Overview.
(Are there any better “Free” Services to use available?)

There is a filter in Google Analytics you can add to take your IP out of the equation.

Will these apply to any hit tracker?

Well, I applied my own IP address to be removed, but for some reason it is still recording my page impressions in the "Adsense Reports Overview"

Am using webalizer myself. Is it necessary to block your own IP or wrong to record your own "hits". Sometimes, it can be a good 'tester' when all of a sudden your tracker is not recording any visits/hits at that critical hour..

It isn't wrong for me or anything, but I would get a much more accurate number concerning how much traffic I am getting for my site, since it is reallly low right now.

Add this script to your site (usually in the body of the content)
Code:
<script src="http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

There are many social bookmarking buttons, for a site such as yours I think its a must.

It will add a Digg button like the one on this page - Digg button

Um, OK, but does this relate to the hits, or is just a useful SEO tool?

You mentioned you have low traffic currently, adding social bookmarking options can increase your traffic. You are right though, I did take this thread in a different direction and for that I apologize.

No, you'll have to check your logs or analytics. I enjoy watching hittail occasionally

Logs? Hittail? Not familiar with those terms.

Also, my analytics has been down for a while, it'll still give me access to everything, but there aren't any results (as if I was receiving absolutley zero traffic)
