Host for file sharing site

I am curious to know which hosting company is best for running a file sharing site

I opened this thread as most of them note on their Terms of Use that it is against their rule to do this

I think the best hosting solution for file sharing site is semi-dedicated or VPS plan, your site may be using lots of CPU resources and if you are buddied with the like host on the shared account, the server may get sluggish.
Check up myriadnetwork.com VPS plan .

I recommend a point here.
For having filesharng type of business, a lot more traffic is needed, so none of the web servers are agreeing to this.
As their other hosters traffic speed will deplate to a marginal one.
So, look for some dedicated host for you or go for VPS

I think BestSharing.com and FreeFileUpload.net are some alternatives.

You don´t need to register for uploading a file. Besides, it is too easy to use.

Agree http://www.bestsharing.com/ is one of the options, also consoder shared hosting options of www.a2hosting.com.

You will definitely need a dedicated server to run the file sharing hosting. Look at ahosting.biz dedicated offers, I see it recommended here a lot. As for the VPS suggetsed above, I don't think its resources will be enough for the file sharing service, and if you decide to go with a2hosting.com, it's better to consider their dedicated plans.

Yes, I agree that you need a dedicated server. Just one dedi, atleast. Make sure that you build your app. ready for a server farm. That must avoid lot of issues later on.

Ok, dedicated is better by far, but it's all about the budget and the configuration of the server. Say, in the myriadnetwork.com plan I mentioned the biggest virtual dedivated plan gives you 3000MB of disk space and 300GB of bandwidth for $59, which are the resources that some dedicate plans provide.
