I'm wondering if the layout of certain pages of my site could be affecting SEO and any advice would be warmly welcomed.

My forum and article pages are in a two column format, the first column never changes and the main content is in column 2, some examples below;

http://www.madmums.com/forum/default.asp

http://www.madmums.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11890

http://www.madmums.com/GH_ShowArticle.asp?HID=480

Would it be better to maybe have the main content in column 1 or perhaps lose the existing column 1 completely or do you think it does not matter.

I doupt that the layout of the content concerning your site would have any effect on SERPs.

Agree, as long as you don't use frames, you shouldn't have any problems with SEO

OK thank you, I'd thought I had read somewhere / sometime that main content positioning was one factor to consider, I was concerned as my main content on my 2 column page layouts in well into the last 3rd of the page, in fact I would even go to say it was close to being the last quarter.
