can anyone explain what are the real advantages of Reseller Hosting?

I mean real ones not those listed by the companies

Do you mean, do you get more resource for your money?

If so then that would depend on the individual hosting company and their packages.

one of the great advantages is that you can compartmentalise client sites. EG many of my clients still have sites hosted with me. MOST of them don't need FTP access, but on occasion some do. The reseller account allows me to give them their own access.

if one buy reseller hosting for himself, does it have advantage over shared host?

Surely you'll have advantages having a reseller account over a shared hosting. It gives you more features and more possibilities to run your business more successfully.

Not necessarily as he only intends to use it for his own account, it could well end up paying (depending on the host) for services and features he does not require.

That's a rhetorical question, without seeing the plan being offered by your host for both services so that they can be compared, how can any one say.

Putting resource aside for the moment the main difference between a shared reseller hosting plan and simple shared hosting plan is normally just the control panel, whether that be Cpanel, Helm, Plesk or what ever, you will have the ability to create and manage accounts plus packages under you own account and assign resource to them. Just because you have a resellers account does not necessarily guarantee that you will be on faster server with more resource.
