Looks like we all have similar thoughts about Yahoo so far.

Yahoo's OK but doesn't always give me what I'm looking for, to be fair it pobably does most of the time.

I like yahoo. I always find they do tend to give relevant results. But then again, maybe I'm biased because my site appears on the top page for my target keywords/phrases! They seem to pick up well on < h > <strong> and <em> tags and use them to rank pages (or at least I think that's why my site is so far up because I certainly don't pay them for it!) which I think is great for those of us trying our best to use header tags etc. properly and honestly to try and get our sites higher up the rankings without having to pay through the nose for it. More power to them. For the search "string quartet in Scotland" I'm no.1 on yahoo, no.3 on msn, but down on no.37 in google - having said that no.37 is the highest I've ever been on google so maybe I'm moving in the right direction! But away from the biased stuff, I do think yahoo is generally a great search engine.

Would go for 8 as its the next best thing to Google where ranking is so difficult. Would really wish Yahoo more present in Asia. Am happy they are setting up one of the HQ in Singapore soon.

Yahoo Just SUX in general, especially their search engine, I actually paid $157 to have 3 of my www.trlogic.com url's indexed thru their Search Submit scam. It took 8 weeks, and the rest of my site still is not fully indexed. GOOGLE and MSN have fully indexed, and we didnt pay them anything.

Their search engine is a total mess and REAL knowledgeable reps at Yahoo does not seem to exist outside of a slow time-warp!

They do give good results, not as good as Google - but good enough.

I tend to not use Yahoo. But Yahoo seems to generate good enough results. Google is probably much better though IMO.
