It's a mystery to me also.
Unless your site it top linked or something, I can't see how it generates traffic.
Most(all?) of these sites don't seem to have users looking, but rather webmaster adding they site.
I really don't follow how this helps. Someone please help explain.

You have spotted the flaw chart music, these sites will fail eventually, as its just a bunch of webmasters bookmarking their own sites, these kind of sites get you traffic, but its not good quality traffic, its of my opinion they will just get more crappy viagra sites on there, until people just give up using them lol !

Some of hte sites have no follow tags so u dont get a link back either !

yeah if done correctly marketing with social bookmarking can be very rewarding and profitable, but i did mention "if done correctly"
