![]() ![]() | The design looks nice enough from the outside. Couple of things though, the photographs take too long to load, need optimised for the site, and the code needs cleaned up (a lot, but that's a problem with generating code from Microsoft office applications).

![]() | If she plans to keep her business local then the only problem is there is nobody searching in that region for weddings, dresses or anything she offers - checked the Harpenden and Luton keyphrase combinations, no joy. To compete nationally or even worldwide she has picked a very competitve business. "Wedding dresses UK" gets pretty good search volume (would have to go national obviously) and the CPC rates are not extremely high with an estimate of $0.62 (at a maximum CPC of $1.49) estimated clicks per day: 18 - 23 (at a daily budget of $20.00). I would suggest getting hosting and build an ecommerce site where you just ship the items for out of town customers. Other than that, due to the search frequency for the terms and location just put the web address on a business card and if they have Chambers of Commerce in the UK, join it and have them link to the site - people in the Chamber usually refer customers to others in the Chamber. Good luck! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | carreral, you could recommend them going with a cMS that allows them to place their products on there and also provides them with the optimization and search engine friendly automatically without really having to do anything. check out http://www.opensourcecms.com and pick out a content manager to do the work for them in layouts and etc. Hope this helps. |

![]() | Excuse me but I feel like saying just more then "it's nice" or not. the only right thing the site has is its tone range. If you really thinking of brining your business up I'd recommend hire a professional (like me :0) to design site for you. if you cant afford or not ready for designer decision , I 'll recommend few practical changes for free. ![]() -Website is like your clothes and make up -it's content verbiage is like a brain and what you say -its navigation like a hello and a date at a cafe. Logo/decoration -looks like done in lowend graphic software or is a word processor clipart- needs fixing. jagged edges for butterfly isn't gonna fly. Fonts - i think looks like times new roman -default fonts for most applications ... would recommend to chose something that dosn't look like an eviction notice. Headers can be done in graphic application an be nice images instead of fonts, its going to bring up the value alot. you use a French Script MT font which makes no sense because most of people don't have that on computer - thus wont be able to see it. Font color is plain blue, default link color ... needs tweaking inconsistency in link colors, lower links are orange, totally out of the game. images have to have better visual relationship with text. they are too separately positioned wrong. they dont tell a story together. (if that makes sense to you) teddy bear couple image is low rez and blurry. try iStockphoto.com for quality images for 1$ or 2. when you click "related links" it loads some orange page with bunch of links and then your blue page overlaps. heres link how it looks : http://img159.imageshack.us/my.php?image=relatedlinksay9.gif bottom line if you planning to get paid for services and grow, "put on right clothes before your date." and something is wrong with the whole webpage, you have <link rel=File-List href="index_files/filelist.xml> I mean what xml content you could be possibly loading externally in the 4 page static website....

![]() | Takes a very log time to load may be because of the background image. Other than that its a very simple website. |

![]() | the "HOME" button in FF is missing; in IE there is something appearing under "Harpenden Bridal"... and that's before looking at your code... the colors are really sweet though ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | http://dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport...lcompany.co.uk No SPF record. Your domain does not have an SPF record. This means that spammers can easily send out E-mail that looks like it came from your domain, which can make your domain look bad (if the recipient thinks you really sent it), and can cost you money (when people complain to you, rather than the spammer). You may want to add an SPF record ASAP, as 01 Oct 2004 was the target date for domains to have SPF records in place (Hotmail, for example, started checking SPF records on 01 Oct 2004). Emails to customers using hotmail and similar email systems may end up in the bulk or trashcan folder.
