Default Not enough traffic, Help what should I do??

Hi

I'm really struggling to get traffic to my site www.jewellerylove.co.uk I receive approx 50 -100 clicks a day. I am getting an average of 1 sale a day which isn't bad considering i don't get much traffic..

But how can i get more traffic?? more traffic will hopefully result in more sales

Please advise

Susie

Maybe look at becoming an affiliates merchant, I'm not sure if there are any additional costs involved above the obvious commission costs on sales as I've only ever been a publisher myself. You would then receive targeted traffic.

attracting visitors for e-coomerce is very complicated

you need to promote your site among different places that buyers may visit

e.g., ads on other sites

google ads are good choice

Possibly find a busy community site, that shares the same target audience as yourself and sponsor a competition/prize in return for promotion.

Suzy, you could try writing some articles on your topic for Ezines - http://www.ezinearticles.com/ is one of the best. Make them very readable with headlines to draw attention, and target them properly to your type of audience.

That helps, at no cost. You also pick up links to your site, and the possiblity of other publishers using your articles.

But the headline and the story lines are critical. These need to be genuine interest articles not advertising, other Ezines will turn you down.

This is exactly needs to be done if you are approaching a free way of traffic.
Additionally you can write articles and submit in various websites.

Good Luck!

If you are trying to get more organic searches then go to the website review that was done and start incorporating some of the suggestions there. Besides what was mentioned there you also have dead internal links. Whenever you delete a page ensure your redirect the page to its most "like" page - even if you show no incoming links to it a shopper may have bookmarked it or sent the link to a friend. Finding those dead links reminded me, create a 404 page that explains why the page may be missing, apologize for the mistake and offer internal links ie. My site example. Here is a good write-up on how to do it via Apache and htaccess, contact your administrator for Windows servers (unless you know how to do it, windows expert I am not).

Affiliate programs are the easiest to do and shouldn't break your bank if set up as commission based. AdWords type programs are not for the faint of heart, have a real good idea of what your doing before your set your daily limit - keyphrase research is important. Here is the best article on PPC I have ever read.

We look forward to helping you further! We want to see you succeed!

Hi,

your website stand in very competitive market, so its tough to get traffic through natural search engine.

I suggest you to start advertising and SEO at the same time. SEO is a long process so it require long time to get traffic through search engine but its more effective then any other. You can also participate in Google Adword campaign, also search for other websites related to your business and place your website link on their website, also you can sing up for any affiliate program. Affiliate is best choice because you have to pay only for sale.

Regards,
BHAVESH GOSWAMI,

Hello!

I too have the same problem. Take everything into consideration! Every time you put your name out there, you can consider a link to your pages. I also want to suggest Google Base, I dont know if you are with them, but it may add to your exposure. I have done it and, as of yet I dont see much traffic, however, I too sell gift baskets which there are a lot of.

I wish you a lot of luck.

I just visited your site, very lovely jewelry!

You might see if there are any interest groups in some of the larger social networking sites...Stumble upon is great if you have some funny vid or pic- but maybe not so much for retail..

Look into Google Site targeting...though that seems to be the only game in town right now for that.
