![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Internet Explorer OR Firefox OR Opera OR Netscape Which browser would you prefer and why? I'll choose IE although FireFox seems to be getting in my liked books recently. Oh and are Google and FireFox working together? I'm aware the Google directory is linked with Mozilla (Firefox creator)

![]() | Firefox - all the time, always the best. I love it Mozilla has done a great job and Google even endorses it... obviously you have a great browser.A common whine from IE users is this: "Well, IE's simple enough and works for me. I don't need anything complex." My response? First, I am always appalled and entertained by the "and works for me" part. You know the world's best oxymoron comes from one of Microsoft's older application suites: Microsoft Works. The reason it doesn't? IE is so inter-connected with other programs that it makes it easy to find holes and once you do - exploit them and break into other programs and parts of the computer, thus presenting critical security flaws. Well, that's the security issue. The "works" part is this: If you uninstall, break, attempt to damage, or type a wrong key practically in another program, IE breaks for the reasons I mentioned above. Internet Explorer doesn't have tabbed browsing - which is a memory hog, ironically since it is used on most older computers. Firefox saves this memory and implements tabbed browsing to promote system performance. Firefox's free extentions, themes, addons, and automatic updates are also nice "little" features. It's extremely stable. As for Google working with Mozilla, no, they are not. Google endorses the Firefox browser with the Firefox Start page, but other than that, Google is not in any other way affiliated with Mozilla. (Except they have made a few firefox extentions.)

![]() | Where is the option "Other" or "None of the above?" I prefer Crazy Browser myself. Mozilla.org is indeed also good. As for Explorer, I try to not use it unless Microsoft pops it in front of me. |

| Member | Not sure why anyone would vote for ie. It is so buggy, clunky, terribly designed, and aesthetically unappealing
