 |  Google Text Snippet Hi there just wondering if anyone knows how Google decide which snippet of text to display when search results are returned. I've done a little digging but I think surely there must be an alogorithim for this also. Any thoughts appreciated. THANK YOU |

| Re: Google Text Snippet As i know google show the most relevant part of your content when displaying the result for the certain search. In general it's the description tag, but in many cases it is different.

| Re: Google Text Snippet Writing a good description helps. Probably thats the only use of a meta description. If the keywords searched are present in the meta description, google is likely to show that. Or it may display a part of the sentence where the keywords are present, from the top portion of the site. Actually from my experience, having a good description and page title helps a lot to get a better click through from google results page. Just getting a top position is not enough, what is displayed on the results page can make BIG differnce in CTR. |
