I don't think Google deserves the monopoly it's trying to have over your income and web site.

It seems like with each step they are trying to control more of your income flow and site content. This is something I strongly disagree with.

It's become a Microsoft and Wallmart type situation in which they've become predatory in an unpleasant way.

So manipulating the search engines to attempt to gain more visitors to your site even though it may not be the most informative and what the searcher is really hoping for is the right way to go? Google and the other search engine's customer is the person doing the search, not the webmaster. If you were Google King for a day, what would you do? (having all your sites rank number one for everything is not an option )

This is how almost every industry works.

Manipulating people to thinking you are the best isn't nothing new to business. GM wants you to think they make the best cars (and advertise this) even though they don't. Google claims they are the best search engine (to get more people using their search engine) even though they are not. Drug companies want you to think their newest (and most expensive) drug is the new end-all to whatever bothers you (this isn't true either but they need you to believe this so they'll get more business)

This is a fundamental concept in business.

Google is asking all web masters to not do what everyone else in business does and that's just plain stupid.

Why should people cripple their businesses ?

So every web master in the world should limit how they can make money because Google made a search engine can be "gamed" easily ? I don't think so.

If your premiss is correct you should see absolutely no change in your SERPS because everyone will be effected equally.

That's not true at all. Nice attempt however.
