  |  How many links? How many links should you get per month? I have heard that there is a quota, but no specifics. What are some of your suggestions / recommendations? |

| Re: How many links? It is really hard to declare any certain number. I think if you don't get thousands of links in every month googlebot won't have any problem with your site. But consider that a few relevant and more important (PR) links have much better effect on serp and PR as well, than hundreds of directory links.

| Re: How many links? I usually exchange max 5 links a day. That is not much but if it´s with ralated sites that have a high PR it´s enough. You can aslo subscribe to automated links exchange programs... advantage... you can get 1000nds of links every month... disadvantage... google might drop your site if you link to a linkfarm... | Re: How many links? Links that are easy to come by really are not worth the effort - spend time aquiring quality links! The absolute best way to get them is do a whois search and call the webmaster personally (when the phone number is present and valid). You will be suprised how many will do it when there is a personal contact...of course some will tell you to get bent  |

| Re: How many links? probably this the most controversial about link building. a big company might spend 1mil to promot their site this month, and will it get blacklisted and drop from SE. and lost all the 1mil investment?? probably its not going to do that. there is no certain defination on that. just keep in mind to build good website and good links.

| Re: How many links? Consistent link building even at 5 a day is good, but try to get quality links, higher PR and similar theme to your own site.
