![]() | I read this article with facination: Online auctioneer eBay has pulled its advertising from search company Google's AdWords network in the United States, an eBay spokesman said on Wednesday. "This is part of an ongoing experiment to look at how we market across all media channels," said eBay spokesman Hani Durzy. full story |

More like Google is on eBay's throat. Google is obviously looking for a secondary source of revenue, their 'Checkout'.

| Wish you were here! | Yes. Of course Google checkout is going to be an obvious competitor to Paypal which is owned by eBay. Regards Edmund Ng |

![]() | If I run eBay, I will behave exactly the same way, why should I let competing product such as Google Checkout into my network when I have my own tried and trusted payment gateway which is in my interest to take a step further |

![]() | I heard it was because Google was going to throw an "anti-paypal" party for its google checkout users - to occur at the same time as ebay Live. When ebay heard about it (so I was told) they pulled their ads from google. Don't know if it's true or not ....

![]() | Apparently Google has back down. I learnt that ebay is one of the largest if not the largest adWord buyer. Ebay adword purchases accounts for 6% of Google's revenue. |

![]() | Interesting .. Actually google needs ebay rather than the other way. From the reaction, they understand it very well. |
