![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Apparently, the guys at PHP are starting to think about PHP 6, so just out of wonder.. how updated are you? To check your version, simply open a new PHP file and insert the following code: <? phpinfo(); ?> GL

![]() | I am running the latest 4.X version... can't remeber now and I don't have access to the server to check from here, but I heard from many programmers to stay away from 5.X since it is still very buggy. I am not sure what the bugs are of it they have been resolved, but that seems to be the general idea that I get from all the programmers I work with. Hopefully 5.x will be worth using soon, but I am afraid of putting it in a production environment and offer it to my hosting customers, at least until I start seens people confirming that it is very stable and older scripts run fine on it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, I agree with the above ^, stay away from PHP 5.X it is unbelievably bug infested, it works for a while and then breaks whatever it is running, and it strained my PHP Server on many occasions. It is very annoying at compatibility problems on servers as well. Wait until 5.X is bug ridden! Regards, Kieran Taylor, SimpleNetwork.co.uk |
