![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | How do people get lucky and become an editor? Is it what they say in the application to get themselves in? or is it a friend they know...nah...not that simple because Netscape does the approving! So how exactly do the people who submit half worded applications get approved? Ok so I applied and gave them a really good application, but 30 mins later (Denied) Why? no clue, but they gave me a default e-mail template as they always do for the other time I did it. If you applied, how long did it take for them to deny you, and what do you think about this situation of them not approving the good applications? or is there really a good application... |

![]() ![]() | It is bent. I applied 3 times and got turned down. On the third time, I submitted the application exactly the same for a friend, and he was accepted. I am a meta editor for Skaffe, I edit the WHOLE of the UK ie I can add move remove edit ANY sites in any category within the Skaffe directory. Yet I was not deemed suitable to edit the pissy little category for my little village with less than 30 sites in it ![]() There is a HUGE level of protectionalism going on in there, large sections of it are out of control to the point of being corrupt. Forget it, and move on. Oh & my Understanding is that Meta editors approve and disapprove applications not Netscape.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ah, I was thinking meta's but wasn't sure as I know Netscape runs the place...than you for pointing that out for me On the other side, I find that a bit odd that you got denied but your friend got approved...weird, but you're right about the protection issue, I have read a few posts about the issues of DMOZ and the background of meta's...not a situation to play with ![]() |

![]() ![]() | My point about me being rejected while my friend was accepted was simple. The editors above do not want me involved as THEY see me as a threat to the way they are doing things. I have had the titles of my sites changed, I have had the description of my services on my site changed so that it is irrelevant and says I do stuff I don't do. They do this to TRY and damage the value of the backlink to their competition, and the competition of their clients. Little cliques who scratch each others backs by adding each others clients.
