So you want to beat the competition in the search engine , well I will tell you what the pro's do.

Ok we want to first study what sites are linking to there site and get them to link to you, also by doing this you can see what keywords they are using. A site I found useful when looking to see what sites are linking to my competition the site is www.domain-pop.com they have a great back link tool which tells you what sites are linking to them. After you have the list of people that are linking to them, set aside an hour or more a night to email each of them and ask for a link back.

Next step find out what keywords they are using your competition you can use a tool by iwebtool www.iwebtool.com/tools which has a tool which checks keyword density on site, so you can use this tool to see what keywords you should be using in your articles and topics on your site.

By using the above tools and techniques you should be able to beat your competition in the search engines.
