Default how can I block iWebTool from my site?

I'm sick to death of the 2000+ accesses to my site daily from iWebTool! Your thing is eating up my bandwidth like there's no tomorrow. The friggin pagerank preditction tool, the backlink checker, the deadlink check -- NO ONE GAVE YOU PERMISSION!!!

I don't see one stinking request for robots.txt from this LOUSY site !!!

Blocking it in .htaccess using the IP address doesn't seem to do any good either because your slimey thing just sneaks in anyway. How the hell is someone supposed to keep your dumb ass tools out of their site if they NEVER wanted them there to BEGIN WITH!

1.7 GIG BW in a friggin week from your tools is a bit much!!!!

ivenna, What IP did you block off from your .htaccess? If you blocked the right IP Address, there is no way iwebtool can access your website. Also, there is no logical way how iwebtool can waste 1.7GB of your bandwidth. Are you sure it's coming from iwebtool or another IP? If you can, show some logs. Referers can be sent out from different servers acting as though it is from another website.

I inserted the domain name iwebtool.com in my deny access in CPanel. It automatically finds the IP address based on domain name. Your crap still accessed my site following that. So, your crap must be coming from another IP address other than the one your domain is on!

Just tell me how to block the crap.

It IS possible to use that much BW and IT HAS used that much BW. My site has over 400,000 pages. When the deadlink checker keeps getting ran over my site it goes through all of it!

If you're going to be "spidering" anyone's website without their permission or allowing others to use your crap to spider someone else's website without their permission YOUR SPIDER NEEDS TO BE ROBOTS TEXT COMPLIANT!

Yours does NOT identify itself.
Yours does NOT ask for robots.txt
Yours does NOT stay out of restricted areas.

How about this one? In areas of my site that are set in Robots.txt user-agent:*
DISALLOW: /

If I catch your crap there one more time I will send all of it over to my Lawyer and have him file charges against your domain for Trespass to Chattels.

Look it up. I definitely have legal grounds. You're breaking laws and you will be held accountable. I'm not playing games with this anymore. I'm sick of dealing with your crap in my domain. I never granted permission to have my site accessed by your worthless crap.

iwebtool.com domain resolves to 72.29.71.254. If your webserver has disallowed 72.29.71.254 and iwebtool.com is still accessing your site, this means it cannot be iwebtool that is on your server. Try to find the exact IP of the bot that is crawling your website.

Also use this contact form to send a message to iwebtool.com > http://www.iwebtool.com/contact/

What is your website address?

In addition: I recommend you get your website's host to track the IP down for you.

Well Mad Cat since you seem to be so terribly ill informed, perhaps you might wish to do some research into the laws that govern Trespass to Chattels and the lawsuits that have been filed and won by site owners that have had their sites repeatedly accessed by automated software against their wishes.

Do a search in Google. I'm sure you know how to use a search engine, do you not?

If one more reference to my site is made from iWebTool it will be handed over to my Laywer and we'll see just how much "idle chat" it is then, eh?

Have fun laughing. I'll see you in court.
