![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So you use Google Analytics...why? What other tool doesn't give you the results that Google Analytics does. I wrote and article on this at my blog (located in my signature) explaining why I use it, and the defined background of it. Pretty self explanitory. Do you use GA? and why do you. |

![]() | The new beta Google Analytics provides the bounce rate of a site. That is very useful in improving the site's conversion rate. It also provides info regarding how long a visitor spends at the site. That can be very useful as well. I use Web Log Expert program to analyze raw log files. Google Anaylitcs serves to compliment the Weblog Expert. However, I am a bit concerned about whether the Google Analytics data will be used by Google in term of rankings. Say if a site's bounce rate is high, perhaps that info will be fed back to Google.

![]() | I started using it about a year ago but stopped when the rumours flew around about Google using the data it collects as part of its ranking algorithm, I think since then they have issued a statement denying this, I've just never got back around to enabling it again, at the moment I rely on AwStats and Hittail to give me real time data but I might give Analytics a try again.

![]() | As a novice, I use Webalizer. My competitor is using them as well. Am also using Adwords not just for the sponsor link but also to track my critical keywords performance as well. Is it sufficient? |

![]() | All sorts of interesting statistics related to a merchant's online catalog will be available through their Google Analytics account. For example, most frequently viewed products and categories, most popular entry pages, most active times of the day, etc. See reports that combine Web sales with traffic information ProductCart automatically notifies Google Analytics of a new order, with details down to the item level. The information received from the shopping cart is then processed by Google Analytics and presented in meaningful reports that can help understand where a specific order originated of course ... its the best

![]() | I use Analytics and webalizer. Google understates some visitors - I have a very accurate independent account of daily visits from one directory site we use, and Webalizer's figures are close to this, but Google shows only one-fifth. Presentation by Google is excellent, and the problem with this is that the figures will always seem accurate but they can be wrong. On the other hand webalizer figures for total visits are also wrong - the article by the site owner shows very clearly (actually not very clearly) why. http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/simpleton.html Don't like his title, Simpleton's guide to Web Server Analysis but I'll get over it. ![]() | It's interesting since you mention it. The webalizer Hits stats seems to be very accurate(tested myself). But the Hourly stats need some adjustment like - need to add 8 hours to reflect Singapore time. |

![]() | I am using Statcounter which I am satisfied with at the moment. I am a little worried about being dependent on Google for everything on the internet. I am registered with Adwords, Adsense, Google Groups for webmasters and Webmaster Tools. Suddenly they started to register my search history as well. I opted out of the search thing, plus started to use another browser to search on google than the one I am using to log into Google.
