Some of you I can already here saying well go away then we dont want someone who comes here just for link exchanging, thing is that not all I would have done, its just the main reason I joined.

Just my opinion anyways, you guys are obviously all happy with this but...

Well, we're gonna miss you. Bye now.

See I knew that would be the responce people on the internet are so predictable, I never said I was going to leave, I said it may put people off me I aint impressed and so far I certainly dont feel welcomed into the community like I have when I have joined other communitys such as this one but it takes alot to scare me off well thats unless I get banned for having an opinion that you dont agree with.

I was simpley epressing my opinion on the matter. If I was going to leave do you think I would have even posted anything?

What sort of responce would you have hoped to elicit with such a line? If you knew anything about the community that you are knocking, then you would understand that we do things as a community. We don't change the rules just because we are moderators, we don't ban people because they don't agree with us, we discuss community issues as a community. What that means is that if you don't take this forum seriously, then why should the forum take you seriously? Any contributing member of this community can voice their opinion and have it taken seriously. If you want to be that person, you're going about it the wrong way.

I agree with Jump (and I'm not a moderator btw).

This is one of the best moderated, most welcoming forums I know (and I'm on a lot of forums!)... but if you start of with negative vibe and complaining about the rules then it doesn't exactly endear you to those of use already here.

You seem to have got off on the wrong foot... How's about starting again?

You carnt cut out one little bit of what I said and say oooh look at what you said. Read it all and you will see I am trying to simpley tell you it would put some people off.

At no point did I say I was going to leave.

I am only knocking the community simpley cos the first thing I get when I join is dead links taken off my sig, they were even live and doing anything anyways

Then when I come to express my opinion on the matter as a newcommer get a responce like yours. I just dont get why you would want to make this place so unwelcoming for new people. I understand you get spammers and that but when I want to use the forum for what is intended for and get treated like crap from day one just though mmm nice place.

Knowing the moderators here I don't think it was their intention to treat you like crap. They just made you aware of the signature policies on this forum, like they do for all new posters... and yes, there are a lot of spammers every day and I personally enjoy very much the way this forum is moderated.

I think both of you made your point... can we now start over again and forget about it
