Default How API affects SEO?

O Wise men and women of SEO community. Give me enlightenment on the above. What does API stands for and how it affect SEO?

API stands for application programming interface.
I doubt if APIs have any effect on SEO at all.. if (ever) they do, I'm almost positive that its effect is very little or negligible.
