Its you who decide what you want to pay. You may not get enough/any clicks if your rates are not up to the mark.

Actually, its not necessary to bid more so that you are on the top of the sponsor link. It can range anywhere from postion 1 to 10. 1 of the keys are having more competitive keyphrases of your market segment so as to defray expensive bidding price.

yes, i wonder some keywords become so expensive after a while, even 4 euro per keyword. Is this normal that after a while the prices become so expensive ?

You know what? Everytime I specified a certain group of keyword in my campaign, the day I activate the ads the next day google will show that keyword is not active due low cpc. Just wonder why. Is there any way of finding the right competitive sets of keyword...?
