Default optimizing images in forum

OK here's the problem

I have a lot of images on my webpage, they are hosted in my own hosting, not imageshack.us or something like that

what should I do if I want google to find them? like when I add an image in my post I can't enter any ALT tag, and that's the key for google I think..

any offers?
Thank you

As far as I know you need to fill those alt tags as labels for search engines in order to provide indexable images. At the Google Webmaster Tools, you have the opportunity to enable the enhanced image search.

I don't know about other forum software, but SMF allows you to use an alt tag in the BBCode. Inside of the square brackets after the img part, use alt=whatever without quotes, see if that does it for you.

The best way to optimize keywords is to add ALT tag. In Keyword below or above image in DIV or floating DIV. Or Keyword in image name and image meta file summary

Alt Tags would fer sure be ideal, but if your forum has correct SEO URLs like this forum does, you wouldnt really need them to be honest.
