Hi I was wondering what do you all know about Conduit.com tool bar?

Maybe I am overly cautious and security minded, but that is where you often pick up spyware and other infections (e.g., Elite Toolbar, Alexa Toolbar, etc.).

Do you know that the toolbar doesn't contain spyware? What is the source of the toolbar and what do you know about it?

Just asking and trying to be safe

Hi there,
as i see the mentioned site has a PR7 so i don't think that they would abuse. I had a look over the site and that is not a toolbar, but a toolbar building script, which is a great way in my opinion to build brand.

But it's it easy for big companies to get PageRank of 7/10, I read that to get listed on that page you just have to pay Google $10,000 per year to be part of their program.

For example take Alexa - It's reported over and over again that their tool bar contains spyware and other infections.

Yes I undestand that Conduit is a tool bar builder and not a toolbar per-si, but once made and downloded into a computer, would it do harm?

So my question is still the same... is it safe?

I'm a newbie to all this "Web Development" and I'm just trying to keep my members safe... and myself
