Thumbs up Interview with Kev - Owner of PhpLynx Directory Script

Directory-Owners is proud to announce the first ever interview from the owner of PhpLynx Directory script. Published 5/19/2007

The directory community either loves him, hates him, or has never heard of him. Being the newest directory script to enter the market and with the recent release of the full version of phpLynx, we felt this was a good time for the community to know more about the person behind phpLynx.

Full interview can be found http://www.directory-owners.com/vbarticles.php?do=article&articleid=1. For those that have never visited Directory-Owners, we also have many interviews from some of the directory communities finest folks http://www.directory-owners.com/vbarticles.php?do=category&categoryid=1.

Excerpt from the interview below....

Q. Are you able to give us a short insight into your background?

I'm a 40 something who's been in business both on and offline for the past
25 years, Having initially trained as a Psychologist I cut my teeth on the
internet in the mid 80's getting into the directory business in 2000. I run
one of the oldest directories on the web although its currently not
populated due to the fact I'm now turning to my own script, it will be back
to its former glory soon.

Q. What do you think sets your web directory script out from all the others?
Simplicity, adapatability and affordability. The phpLynx script works
around other scripts shortcomings, it has high end features at a low end
cost. We devised the script to adapt to cater for a wide audience of users
from the classic 'one line link and description display' to one that can
offer a complete company detail list and more, simular to Yell.com's model.
With features like built in spellchecking, Location Manager and Category
intergration, to the state of the art anti-bot features to eliminate spam,
we've raised the bar with the phpLynx script. We added some of the 'gimmick
components' like 'rate a site' and such but made sure that no feature is
ever compulsory, you can switch on or off most features via admin and or via
the template files with little or no knowledge of coding.

Thanks Kevin for your interview and we wish you the best of luck with Lynx.

tom
