![]() | does a single dash affects the value of a domain? there are some .net alternative domains but I prefer a .com domain. |

![]() | I think that a single (1) dash would be better than a .net extension, yes. However, dashes really do decrease the value of a domain name as a whole. It makes it much less quality and worth less if you ever chose to sell it. It also might make whoever has the domain name without the dashes get a little angry... chances are against this, but they might even warn you to take down your site. It's rare, but it happens on occasion.

![]() | The hyphen makes the domain look ugly, but it is really good for SEO purposes. Find another .com without hyphen (don't go with .net or hyphenated version).
