Really nice directory script. May I suggest you to subtitute the underscores by hypens in the mod rewrite setting? That would be much better, imo

Correct me if I am wrong but I was led to believe that the hypen and underscores in url`s didnt really make that much of a difference in regard to SEO.

I will however take on any advice you can give me on this.

A live link would be nice.
I am building up my other site and am interested in setting up a niche directory there. I will get a free version though at least for now as I am not intending to charge for the listings there. My only question would be about that: "How different are theme adjustments for the two versions?"
PHPLD for example has (in paid version) theme editing from within the admin panel, but the free version has to be edited either through the file manager or on the PC and then uploaded.

Gary, underscores don't let the spiders recognise the keywords in the URL. Try to do some search with the allinurl google operator and you will see what I'm talking about

At present all my links are getting parsed back to text, think its due to my post count, only been active on these forums for a short while.

At present the Free version requires you to download and edit the files manually, where as the full version contains a full integrated file manager which if the files have been set with the correct permissions allows you to edit any file, view pictures, move copy upload files etc.

Yes, definitely look into that, Bagi is correct. The search engines see 2 words seperated with a hyphen as 2 seperate words, whereas 2 words that are seperated with an underscore are seen as a single word. So if you are using "directory_script" in your URL, in order for a person to find it using the search engines, they would need to type in directory_script....They wouldn't find it using "directory script" (without the underscore).
